Vinhos - Vinhos Brancos - Lisboa Branco

The wine region of Lisbon, formerly known as Estremadura, is located more precisely in the northwest of Lisbon, is characterized by having a large area of vineyards, combining traditional Portuguese grape varieties with some international grape varieties. Summers are very cool and winters are very mild. The Lisbon Region consists of nine Denominations of Origin: Colares, Carcavelos and Bucelas, Alenquer, Arruda, Torres Vedras, Lourinhã and Óbidos (in the center of the region) and Encostas d'Aire. The Bucelas Denomination of Origin only produces white wines. Its wines, made from the variety called Arinto, with a very balanced acidity, adding their floral aromas, preserve their qualities for many years. Colares, is a Denomination of Origin that is located in the south of the Lisbon region, due to its proximity to the sea, in its soils the limestone predominates and often the vines are close to the sand. In these wines the predominance of grape varieties is Ramisco.
